Art Night 2019 Highlights

Art night includes not only static art, but everything from theatrical installations to interactive events, ensuring guests of all interests staying at hotels near Queens Gardens will find something to enjoy. Having developed a strong following in previous years, 2019 has a packed schedule of talent on offer, including:

1. Central Saint Martins

This piece of performance art will be showcasing the work of students at Central Saint Martins, a prestigious London art college. The project has been inspired by the historic Bauhaus movement, now celebrating its 100th anniversary.

2. Marina Abramovic

This virtual reality-inspired art piece takes on the troubling and timely topic of climate change, allowing visitors to experience rising sea levels and their effect on the world via an immersive headset.

3. Sarah Cockings and Harriet Fleuriot

An interactive performance entitled Vast Forward explores the impact and magic of pop songs, looking at how they have inspired audiences for decades. Visitors are encouraged to ask the artists questions ahead of the event, which will be answered in the form of song lyrics during Art Night.
